“Markttor von Milet“ Antikensammlung

- the 1903 - 06 in Miletos, Asia Minor, excavated roman Monument was rebuilt inside the new Pergamonmuseum in 1929.
- detailed investigations into the causa of severe bomb damage of World War II had been undertaken for restoration due to today’s appropriate
standards.
- in the pediment part about 50 affected stoneblocs had been disambled and reerected after restoration and reinforcement works on structural components of the monument itself.
- development of a final restoration concept for the entire historic monument in all details is in progress and will be carried out in a postponed implementation of the 2020ies.
